What is a neck-in drum?

It is made of three pieces of metal (mostly tinplate) : the body, the bottom and the lid of the cans. The cans is conical or cylindrical shape. The body of the cans has two ribs. The scope of closed barrel: capacity 20-25l, diameter 200-300mm, height 150-480mm.

Working process of full-automatic neck-in drum production line

First place cutting cans body material in the resistance welding machine automatically picking place, Suck by the vacuum sucker to the feeding roller, through the feed roller to the deflection roller bending processing, then roll into the forming device into cylindrical body, body is fed into the resistance welding machine, after the accurate positioning for resistance welding. After welding, the cans body is automatically fed into the frame of the coating machine. There are two schemes of spraying type and rolling coating type, which are available for users to choose. It is mainly used to prevent the welding seam line from contacting air and causing rust. The cans body is transferred to the neck-in drum combination machine, and the cans body is in an upright state through the vertical device, and the screw rod reciprocates. The first operation is the cans body expansion. When the cans is in position, the cans tray is controlled by a servo motor and the tank is sent to the expansion cone mold. Step 2 turn up and down. If the bottom cover is required to make 7 layers, the third step can be carried out and the flanging amount can be further increased at the bottom. The upper die is fixed on the body, and the lower die is installed on the CAM to complete the upper and lower flanging when the CAM is jacked up. The fourth step is beading. After completing the above four steps, the conveyor belt will send the cans to the cover of the sealing machine. Conveying to the turn over device to change the direction of the lower part of the cans body, and then carry out the automatic induction of the Lid feeder and sealing process.
